This month, we’re joined by Ella Scheepers of the Wellbeing Architects to explore how to create cultures of care and belonging in organisations. Ella will take us through what it means for an organisation to embody the change it seeks to create in the world by staying rooted in a politics of care, an attention to power and a commitment to accountability.
When urgency drives our work, we often sideline the very thing that gives it life—authentic connections that centre wholeness. Care becomes an afterthought, stripped of its politics and power. We hide what matters most—our values, our relationships, what we’re afraid of, treating them as private burdens rather than collective resources
Yet our sustainability and impact depend on these cultures of care. Imagine how sharing these things, and having others hold them with us, could enliven our relationships, spark new ideas and deepen our work? Practicing collective care can be difficult and uncomfortable, but real change requires real connection.
Through reflecting on your own experience, Ella invites you to explore individual and collective practices that allow collective care to take root and flourish. Even within existing structures, we each have the power to shape cultures of collective care.
