On-site coaching

45 minutes of Coaching-on-the-Go

We offer on-site coaching at major global convenings. Over the past several years, our coaches have supported leaders in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French at events such as the AWID Forum, The Global Gathering and RightsCon.

These 45-minute sessions give participants a rare moment in a busy environment to pause, process emotions, integrate experiences, calibrate thoughts and ideas and walk away with practices they can use immediately. Many describe these sessions as the highlight of their conference experience.

What Coaching-on-the-Go participants say

I remembered how to be gentle on myself and show self-compassion. I also got practical tips that will help me with the flow of my work day. When my body sometimes wants to disengage, it is not because I am not brave enough to act, but because it wants to protect itself from being immersed in negativity that could be harmful.
I learned the importance of intentional time to discuss relational issues with my Co-Executive Director. I also remembered a years-old insight about managing conflict instead of solving it.
I learned that I need to figure out how to let go of things intentionally before I drop them and they crash and shatter. That I don't spend enough time observing myself before making decisions about what I need to do.
I learned how to manage resentment at internal organizational shortcomings while also continuing to do my best work. I also learned some tactics for where and how I can advocate for changes. I received a reminder that some of my organization’s issues or growing pains are really normal for NGOs. I learned that I'm doing better overall than I think I am! I really appreciated my coaching session. I felt very heard and listened to.
I got to test what it would mean to say things out loud. The feeling it gave me was great and I will remember it as I stop holding back from what I wish to say.
The most significant thing I learned was feedback structure. I will use the format shared by my coach and experiment with the team.
