The new year also means new programming from Spring! Introduction to FIRE was created to develop the perspectives, practices, systems and connections to build greater financial health and resilience, a prerequisite to addressing the complex social and climate justice issues of our time. We need pro-active and innovative ways of resourcing our organizations and networks, especially in volatile times like these, and when funding landscapes and opportunities are changing.
Spring is offering this one-day virtual course, which introduces the five key areas of financial resilience – Funding Landscape, Resource Mobilization, Strategic Finance, External Communications and Leadership Practice. The course covers how to diversify and identify new funders, recover true costs and the role of communications in garnering supporters. Participants will leave this Introduction to FIRE with an understanding of the five-pronged framework and a number of concrete tools they can apply in their organizations.
